So, it has been a while seen i blogged. It;s not obvious naman na hindi naq nkkpag blog araw-araw. Because during the past few weeks, my fingers were really working hard. Proof, here's what we did: 1. muSSIco practice. Thurs and Fri's. 2. SSI Linkage seminars. Wed's and Fri's. [ University of Perpetual Help- Molino Campus, Aug. 10-12 '09 ; Harrel Horne Integrated School Imus July ] 2.a tapos magkakaron pa ulet. But now, this is really the contest. If we wein this (or only in the Top 7) we will be destined to compete in the Regionals in i think, Bohol? This will be held at Imus Pilot in Imus..in front of Imus Institute.. Gee, this journalism thing is really taking me to the different places in the Philippines. Gaadd. *sabay dila* 3. The upcoming Summative Test week for the 14 participants of the seminars. The other students had their chance to experience extreme pain, especially in Math. But next week, it's our turn to suffer. :] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Okay. Maiba ng usapan. I've started reading " Tuesdays with Morrie "by Mitch Albom since our Library Period 2 weeks ago. And I have read the 2nd part. I don't read everyday because of such busy hours. So, I only read books when I'm free or in a peaceful place like the Chapel in UPHR. Or the Field in UPHR , below the big tree covering me from the heat rays of the sun. It's a really relaxing place to read a nice book. Back to the book, when I'm reading a new book, I start at the last chapter to see what happens because I don't like the " excitement " or what they call it, " thrill. " So, I read the last Chapter. It started( or ended?): Graduation
~ Morrie died on a Saturday morning. His immediate family was with him in the house, Rob made it from Tokyo-he got to kiss his father goodbye---and Jon was there, and of course Charlotte was there and Charlotte's cousin, Marsha, who had written a poem that so moved Morrie at his "unofficial" memorial service, the poem that likened him to a "tender sequoia." They slept in shifts around his bed. Morrie had fallen into a coma two days after our final visit, and the doctor said he could go at any moment. Instead, he hung on, through a tough afternoon, through a dark night. Finally, on the fourth of November, when those he loved had left the room just for a moment-to grab coffee in the kitchen, the first time none of them were with him since the coma began- Morrie stopped breathing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That's not all. It's a very long chapter! If I type the whole chapter I might as well write the whole thing.. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I've searched on youtube that there is the movie version produced by Oprah Winfrey. If you don't have the book, watch it nlng. But I recommend you to read it first before watching it. There are so many things they didn't feature in the movie that is in the book. You'll be bummed. ![]() Anyways, it's a really nice book. I'm starting to find "For one more day,"also by Mitch Albom. Mitch's books are the best. And also books of Paulo Coelho. READ IT! ~~~-~~~~~~~~~~-~~~~~~~~~~~-~~~~~~~ Read the details of the book on the next few blogs. Also read the details of the muSSIco practices. 'Till here, :)) |
